The musings of a Singapore Foodie that started round her meals and her life in UAE when she was posted there. She has since moved on and now spends most of her time in Asia, Australia and the UK.

I am no chef or professional food critic just a girl on the right side of her twenties who is always on the lookout for good food in my favorite cities, I am staunch believer in good food and truly believes that not all good food is expensive. As much as I love the meal experiences in fine dining restaurants, I also have a passion for street food and hole in the wall diners.

Always on the lookout for fellow lovers of good food. Do drop me a note and let me if you know of any nice places that you think I should try!

  1. Hi Singapore Foodie,

Recently found your website as I was searching for fellow food bloggers in
Dubai. So glad to find others out there in Dubai that love hole-in-the-wall places…I’d always hunt those out during my last few years in New York, a city of super high-end fancy food, but also of many tiny, inconspicuous, eyt flavor-pumping shacks.

Being an obsessive/compulsive food lover & writer myself, I recently started a food blog ( in the city after moving back from NYC earlier this year. Was thinking of starting a food blogger’s
community in Dubai, where bloggers come together once a month/every two
months to either try out a new restaurant, do a potluck with their own
homemade concoctions, or just sit around and talk food. πŸ™‚ It’s always way
more fun to write about food when you have a bunch of people to bounce
ideas and reviews off of, so do let me know if you’d be interested!

Either way, I look forward to visiting your site more often from now on!

    • Dear Foodonymph,

it is always nice to hear from another fellow foodie, the idea of foodie monthly meet ups is a good one and is something that I used to do back home in Singapore.

Do let me know if that happens and thanks for visiting my blog!

      • Sorry for not responding earlier, hadn’t caught the reply on this till today. Great to hear that you’re interested! I’ve already found 2 other bloggers who’re up for meeting in Dubai, so 4 officially makes a group πŸ™‚

Will pick a place that we can try in the next couple of days. Would you email me at Will coordinate place/time over email.

        Looking forward to it!

  2. Hi

Great blog – have just moved here and would love to hear food tips if you have any.

  3. Hi… found your blog when I was looking for a place that served Singapore Chicken-Rice. Love your blog and the pics you take are fantastic. I am in the process of starting a food blog and it’s great to see so many out here in Dubai. How long have you been here? I’ve pretty much grown up here (been here since 1989). Speaking of the dish I mentioned earlier… do you know where I can find some Chicken-Rice in Dubai? I saw an episode of Anthony Bourdain’s No Reservations in Singapore and oh the food looked absolutely yummylicious… especially the Chicken-Rice. πŸ™‚

Usually it is caused by the passion communicated inside the article I browsed. And after this article About Singapore Foodie on the Road. I was actually excited enough to drop a commenta response πŸ™‚ I do have a couple of questions for you if you tend not to mind. Is it simply me or do some of these responses look like written by brain dead individuals? πŸ˜› And, if you are posting at other sites, I would like to keep up with everything fresh you have to post. Could you make a list the complete urls of all your community pages like your linkedin profile, Facebook page or twitter feed?
