The Prime Society

I think the last time I had dinner at The Prime Society was in 2007 and it was restaurant week Singapore that has bought me back to this place after 5 long years.

Met a friend for lunch and we decided that the additional 8 dollars top up required for the wagyu minute steak was what we wanted.

We had a wagyu beef Carpaccio as an entree and it was nothing spectacular. There was a tinge of truffle oil but we both feel that it would have tasted better if they had been a little more generous with the truffle oil.

It was surprising to not have the service staff ask for the doneness of our steaks but thankfully they came to us cooked just the way we liked it. The steaks were medium rare and came with a side of handcut chips. They will not beat Mortons but they were definitely good value for the price that we paid.

Desserts came to be a mixed bag of good and bad. We had the chocolate orange cake which was so bad we left more than half of it untouched. The Panna cotta fare much better, we loved the lychee and passion fruit salsa that was spooned over the dessert.
