Hello from Waterside – London

Sorry about the lack of posts last week. Has been yet another crazy week at work with me traveling to Hong Kong and later on to London. Yupz I’m still in london and not having much time to blog given the time that training ends and then the endless rounds of meeting.

Duty travel these days ain’t the same and I haven’t really had to time to go out for nice meals or head out for a night out. But have been blessed with wonderful weather in london, a really hot weekend with highs of 34 degrees doesn’t this remind you of hong kong or singapore but thankfully the weather is much better now with the temps in the high teens.

Loads of sandwiches and fish and chips coming my way!

Got a few blog posts coming up in the coming weeks on the meals I have had in Hong Kong and London. Till I post again!!!

Might not be able to post pictures till I get home cos I left my card reader @ home … silly me!!!

Meals in the air – part 2

With all that flying, u are going to see a whole lot more of the cabin meals in the coming days keke.

Here we have thai pork curry with greens. Yes we also had ice-cream for dessert.

Taste Paradise @ Changi Airport Terminal 1

It is a pleasure to be flying out from Changi Airport one of my all time favorite airports and this is not because I’m Singaporean.

Changi Airport offers some of the most reasonable food choices that are absolutely yummlicous! Hong Kong, Narita and Incheon are also amongst my favorites for a good time.

I love the staff meals that they have on offer too.

Was on a flight out from Terminal 1 and my tummy was rumbling. Time to seek out some food.

Bumped into T who was also looking for lunch. Together we decided to have chinese for lunch and this made Taste Paradise a natural choice.

We took the staff set lunch of sweet and sour pork and the set lunch of the homemade tofu (beancurd).

Great value as you can see from the pictures. How good was the food? Well I’m glad to say that they are as good as they look in the pictures. The notable mention goes to the homemade tofu, totally tender and full of the flavour of soy beans. Yummy yummy!

The best thing, lunch for 2 only set us back SGD22 or AED66.

Meals in the Air part 1‏

With the new job and the new move, there has been a whole loads of changes in my life, resulting in a lack of time to blog.

With all that said and done, I would like to start a new series of postings on what else but whAt I’ve been eating loads of since starting my new job.

Airline meals. Remember the time when all u get from the airline when you fly is stale bread with some reheated unplatatable ‘fish/chicken/beef’?

I’m glad that things have changed since those days and the airlines meals have improved since then.

The starter was smoked salmon salad with a thai dressing. The dressing was tangy and went perfectly with the smoke salmon and the rockets. The main was stirfried beef tenderloin with spring onions and ginger with a side of baby kailan and carrots and steam rice. The tenderloin was nicely reheat and still tender when it reached me. The rice was perfectly cooked and the veggies still crunchy and green. The dessert served was chocolate ice-cream from Häagen-Dazs…

I finished my meal with a glass of hot chocolate … Yummy!

Not a not so fun note, I realized that most sectors serve the same meals for the same leg for a month. Things are not so fun when they are repeated lolz…

Ps this meal was from Cathay Pacific!!!
