Barasti Beach Bar

Was feeling a little sluggish and was gonna stay at home last Friday but guess that the fates had other plans for me. Got a call from a friend at about midnight and I ended up at the Barasti and dancing the night away.

The crowd is so varied that you could be in any major city, however it is the people chilling near the beach smoking shisha that remind you that you are in Dubai.

Beautiful sunset views, a more than decent live band, a nice DJ spinning and yummy finger foods but so much can still be improved. Although the beers are cheap, be prepared to pay for anything with hard liquor and this includes the cocktails so loved by the ladies. The wait staff can also be a pain as they can be awfully slow and not hear your order unless you are a girl as my friend found out. He only got his drink after a 25 minutes wait whereas I got mine in less than 5 minutes.

I wouldn’t say that this is the best beach bar and I will not make a trip there by design but it is a place that I don’t mind chill at if my friends are there.
