Bentoya Dubai

Dubai has got more than her fair share of good Japanese restaurant if you can afford it but being new in town and having yet to receive my 1st pay cheque, I just got to find the next best alternative.

It’s really tough to find good Japanese Food that doesn’t cost the an arm and a leg is not easy. A sushi mixed combo in the supermarket costs at least 55AED or SGD$22 not exactly cheap or particularly fresh or good.

Here’s when Bentoya comes into the picture. Head Chef and Owner of Bentoya is Shinji Tan iuchi who used to work as a Japanese Chef in the Hyatt Regency Hotel International group. The restaurant itself is a no-frills sushi joint that serves great sushi and authentic bentos sets to a mainly Japanese clientele.

Bentoya provides good and authentic food at a reasonable price. Here’s what I had with my friend last week.

Tantanmen or spicy ramen is a combination of minced beef, Japanese eggy with runny york and green vegetables. Nice and yummy and good when you are running a cold. 50AED or SGD$20.

Salmon crab roll maki (33AED or SGD$13) and futomaki (25AED or SGD10), fresh salmon and authentic ingredients, can’t get it better than that.

I’m soo gonna go back for more, what’s more, they deliver too!
